Rutare District Hospital

The Rutare District Hospital project, designed by L&F Consultants, is a state-of-the-art 500-bed healthcare facility with a total built-up area of 15,000 m². The hospital includes internal medicine, outpatient services, imaging departments, four theatres, an emergency department, administration offices, maternity and pediatrics departments, as well as utility services. The design integrates a central courtyard to maximize natural light in patient rooms and utilizes locally inspired materials to create a warm, culturally resonant, and healing environment. L&F Consultants provided the full scope of design services, including Architectural and Interior Design, Structural and Infrastructure Engineering, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, HVAC, fire safety systems, and advanced low-current systems such as security, lighting, and fire alarms. This holistic approach ensured a functional, efficient, and patient-centered hospital environment.
