The Twin One Stop Border Post (OSBP) at Gisenyi (Rwanda) and Goma (DR Congo) is a project focused on improving cross-border movement by integrating border control operations of both countries into a single, jointly operated facility. Completed over a 4-month period, the project involved the complete design of infrastructure to simplify and enhance border processing.

The OSBP consolidates two traditional border stops into one shared location, allowing for joint inspection and streamlined procedures. This not only reduces waiting times but also improves coordination between border agencies, facilitating more efficient movement of people and goods between the two countries.

Our scope included full design services—Masterplanning, Architectural and Interior Design, Structural and Infrastructure Engineering, and complete MEP systems, including HVAC, fire safety, and all low-current systems (security, lighting, fire alarms). Every component was designed to meet both Rwandan and international standards, ensuring functionality, safety, and future scalability.

This project is a model of regional cooperation, efficiency, and modern infrastructure planning—demonstrating how thoughtful design can support economic integration and border security simultaneously.
